![]() I would be very happy to be able to easily put a light with a big umbrella at the end of the boom arm without hassle. The thing costs $40 and the only issue seems to be a set screw that there isn't any reason to use anyway. Just took a look at my Matthews grip arm.you're right.fixed but adjustable via a hex set screw I could solve this with a quick trip to the studio but I don't have shoes on so here goes… Isn't the grip on the end of a boom arm always fixed? The Kupo arm looks like a nice concept except the grip on the other side does look fixed. The drop down pin is meant to keep your light at the same angle no matter what angle your arm is at. Thanks Terry they are 2miles from my studio must pay them a visit. Here is one Kupo dealer in the UK that I found in 4 seconds using Google:ĭoes it look like the grip head is fixed on the opposite side so that you cannot adjust the desired length? But since I'm here in the US all the locator does is find US retailers. ![]() I love grip arms I have three and one or two of these would be great, wonder is there is a UK retailer.? Looks awesome to me and you get a whole grip arm for the price of the avenger drop arm. So instead of having it hang upside down like this, it can be positioned horizontally like this The difference though is the hex pin on the kupo arm, which is supposed to prevent it from twisting. If I remember correctly what an Avenger drop down pin is, that Kupo is basically just a boom arm. Wondering if this would be more effective than the Avenger drop down pin? Any thoughts?
